Behind Rodebjer is Swedish designer Carin Rodebjer, who began her fashion adventure on the streets of Manhattan. She was spotted wearing her own handmade designs and soon began to sell her fashions to friends as well as stores in New York and Stockholm. Rodebjer’s signature silhouettes include slouchy suits and sets, easy-to-wear dresses, kimonos, and drapey caftan, all pieces that will move easily from daytime into the night and for more than one occasion. She designs for the contemporary woman and her needs. She does so to enhance and simplify everyday living.
For SS20, Rodebjer presented a truly exciting and beautiful collection at the Free Harbour of Copenhagen. It had tons of editorial as well as audience appeal and is bound to excite her following and win over new territory. The color palette offered a little bit of everything from neutrals such as sand, black, white and grey to delicate yellow and browns as well as some splash of color with prints. The silhouettes were everything we have come to expect from Rodebjer; slouchy, easy-to-wear and a few more fitted pieces. The aesthetic inspiration deriving from Morocco and the streets of New York.
The collection was full of stand-out pieces that will leave a long-lasting impression such as the brown fitted dress with a chiffon cape in a lighter shade and the sand-colored cape with white lines. Another showstopper was the floral printed dress with cape effect and the draped brown pantsuit, just to mention a few.
Rodebjer’s SS20 collection was full of pieces that will outlast cyclical fashion sense. She is an exciting designer who knows how to please her followers as well as impress fashionistas and fashion editors alike.
