Akris's pre-fall collection takes it's inspiration from Vivian Maier who took 100,000 photos while working as a nanny in early 1900s. Her street photography and self-portraits gave Albert Kriemler the needed inspirations to construct an intricate set of long dresses and work ready wear that are both functional and beautiful. The pant-suits and uniform-like constructs are tailored for working women of a certain charm. His collection will speak volumes not only to that crowd but also to the photographers who admire Maier's work. In many ways this is a wonderful fusion of a bygone era neatly tailored into the modern lifestyle.
