Tom Ford kicked off the spectacle that is NYFW SS17.  Of all the shows on display and there were many some had the starpower of Kanye West, some had the legacy of Escada, but Tom Ford's show had both. Tom Ford who embraces in season clothing (as in fall clothing during fall), showed his new collection at a restaurant under renovation (four seasons). But his collection seemed complete and filled with what makes him the darling of the fashion world. Nothing was left to chance and to be able to express creativity without the chaos of too much or too little is the highest form of aesthetic expression. His sequin turtlenecks, fringe skirts and super long dresses are likely to be favorites among high society fashionistas.  The Tom Ford now has evolved from the Tom Ford of Gucci. The rough edges are gone and color blocked furs are in. The rebelious Gucci girl is now a full grown woman with the style to match it in Tom's universe.
